Opening Act. Monday AM
Keep the testing up. Just to illustrate what a block can do click on "Opening Act". This will take you to the Charlie Rose show. He sat down with the National Teacher of the Year. WHat I liked about the conversation is that they brought out the qualities of an effective teacher. Indeed this is so hemmed our conversation of effective CM.

I like to start every year wearing my shirt inside out. I don't know if you caught this today as I modeled this approach. Pedagogically it challanges the kids to think beyond the appearence.

Looks like more and more are working the bugs out. Good job. Remember as you think about the concept of the blog let's marry it to the idea of how we might construct a learning experience for our students. This is how 21st Century students are communicating. In one of your units could you have a blog? Or could you have small groups or partnerships create a blog as part of jigsaw approach? Minds on...constructive...how much does this stamp out misbehaviors. I know, not 100% but indeed it is something to try. Let me know if there are any questions or thoughts. Thanks, Mark...and today I put my shirt on correctly. I am glad this happened in front of you and not my juniors in a few weeks. Wow. On a personal note. I took the big ideas of a great phys. ed class and started to take care of myself. Since June I lost 15 pounds through better eating and exercise. Have not reached my goal but I am getting there. Ok...I will keep quiet now. Mark
